PROGRAM RULES

To earn rewards for referrals, you need to complete the Bernhill Homes “Friends and Family” referral form online. To complete the “Friends and Family” referral form, you need to provide your name, a valid email address, phone number, current mailing address AND your friend or family member’s name, email address and phone number. If you know where they are looking to buy a home or have any additional information, that’s always helpful.
Please note that the Friends and Family Referral Program is subject to the terms below, and that the terms listed here supersede any other verbal or written communication regarding instructions of the program.

RULES

To be eligible, the Referrer must fill out the online referral form ON or PRIOR TO their friend/family member’s INITIAL VISIT TO A BERNHILL HOMES COMMUNITY OR MEETING. No Gift Cards will be granted for referrals submitted after the friend/family member’s initial visit.
The Referee must acknowledge they were referred by the Referrer at the time the purchase and sale contract is written. The name of the Referrer must be included in the “Referred by” section.
Gift cards will be sent to the Referrer the month following the successful close of the referrer’s new Bernhill Home. If the home does not close, no gift card will be granted.
For each New Bernhill Home purchased and closed, one gift card will be awarded to the Referrer.
The Referrer will receive one VISA Gift Card which will hold its value for six months, before gradually decreasing in value in keeping with VISA Gift Card protocol.
The Friends and Family program is only applicable to 2nd party referrals. You cannot refer yourself.
Bernhill Homes reserves the right to retract this offer at any time should any information provided by either party prove to be false or misleading. This program is at the sole discretion of Bernhill Homes and may be eliminated or changed without notice.
There is a maximum of one gift card per referral on any one transaction. If there are multiple referrers (more than one person referring the same referee) only one gift card will be granted. This will be determined by which online form was received first, who is listed as the Referrer on the purchase and sale contract and/or information from the referee stating who referred them first. Referrals will be valid for one full year from date of submittal.
Realtors receiving a commission on the sale of a Bernhill Home will not be eligible to receive a Friends & Family referral gift card.

No Buyer’s Agent In order for a referral to be valid under the Program, the buyer must not be represented by a real estate agent. In other words, Bernhill may pay either a buyer’s agent commission or a full referral fee, but not both. If a buyer’s agent will be receiving a commission on the sale, no promotional fee will be awarded to the buyer under this Program, even if all other Program conditions were fulfilled.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

- The Buyer must have served for at least 12 continuous months as a First Responder or member of the Military. Also, they must present identification and/or paperwork from the qualifying entity verifying the Buyer’s status as of the date of the contract.
- Deposit requirements are the same as for all other Buyers: Earnest money according to community guidelines, plus 20% of certain options and upgrades as designated by Bernhill Homes Contract to Buy and Sell Real Estate.
- In the event the Buyer’s engagement with the qualifying Military/First Responder organization is terminated prior to closing, Bernhill Homes reserves the right to terminate the contract or to rescind the discounts.
